Found Prop

Episode 5 - Safe

Found Prop

Postby pennausamike » Wed Jun 20, 2012 3:06 pm

Here is my latest found prop acquisition!
And it works, too!

Actually, this "little" project, which will likely consume my whole summer,
is already six weeks along.

Not sure when I'll next be able to squeeze in some prop building.
(And goodness knows, I have a lot of unfinished projects I'd rather be working on.)

Well, ain't that neat! I never thought of that tool as a prop, having a couple of them. Should I put one in my collection, or leave it in the shed?

lol Depends on:

1. How dirty it is. (weathering is one thing, fresh cow plop is another.)

2. How much room you have for your collection.

3. How accurate it is to the one in the show.

4. How desperate you are to fill out your collection.

5. How often you actually use it. (If your collection is at one end of your property, and your work is at the other, keep it closer to the work.
I love firefly for many, many, reason, but I have to say, an abundance of found props through out, is one of them. :)

The first time I watch the show, as a fan. (didn't like it when it was first on, didn't become a fan, until around 2006) I ran through my apartment, finding props left and right. lol Little things like cups, and chopsticks, army issue can openners, etc. but hey, their props too. :)
