Besides, it is fun to see your collection, and the building of new props, to add to it.

I'm glad the photos will do; I'm not ready to shuffle off this mortal coil just yet!
Seriously, tho', I'm not too sure I'll have it done for myself by Christmas, this year.
Next up, I have to finish the putty work and sanding on the base of the Foosh pistol so I can cast it.
The other PITA job will be cutting something to make the detail panels on the Stock.
I keep flip-flopping back and forth on whether or not to do them at all.
Far as posting stuff up, I enjoy updating my collection thread at
http://fireflydvd.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3541

The only bad thing about these forums is that while they bring together folks from all over the globe,
it means it is considerably more difficult to get together in person.

Darn it... I really hope that Phil will offer a run of these soon. Otherwise I'll have to scratch-build and I don't have time for that right now!

Seems I'm a bit late once again.

Well in this case the party never got going. The run of Sonics never happened. Somehow I doubt there are enough interested folks these days to make it happen too. I'll 3d print one eventually because it's a very simple model to make... just have too many other stuff to clear out first.

I finally finished my sonic rifle built from original Foosh rifle parts.
I flip-flopped back and forth between building a replica of the Firefly sonics, or building an EU version.
A combination of the reduced work
and the fact that the Foosh appearance dovetailed well with the look of the L-85's that were carried by Alliance troopers,
swung the decision in favor of making my sonic an EU version designed to be carried by an Alliance medic.

Here the two weapons are seen together,

I'm pleased with how this came out.
It is real-world-heavy and handles like a point and shoot weapon should.
I like the concept that Alliance medics can be armed with a non-lethal means of self-defense,
and feel that this prop fills that role well.

She's purty. And some day, I'll get around to making one as well.
