Kaylee's reprogrammer

Episode 11 - Trash

Did anyone find what the top section is from or build them? Let me know if you have any left. Plus what size or model is the speaker?
Thanks

I had started one of these some time ago, but put it away in the garage as I was having trouble determining the parts. Thank God I found this site, it's all coming together now (in my mind).
This is a great site and will save me a ton of time and mistakes.

Or does anyone have the measurements for the top section?

If you have any of the right components, you can figure it out like I did on my sonic rifle.
I don't know how clearly it shows in the pictures,
but I created drawing scales from the known distances in the photographs,
and use basic algebra to find the unknown sizes.

Image

To (over)simplify it, if the part is 1" long in real life and 1/2" inch long on the photograph,
that means you would multiple the measured distances by 2 to get the real-world dimensions.

I'm kinda swamped right now, but if it helps,
I may be able to post scans of how I measured and multiplied my sonic pic dimensions
to get the actual part sizes in the next week or so.

What he said

Since I had the correct circuit board, I scaled it up from that.

Thanks that picture will help, as for the math? I tend to use the "s.w.a.g" method. scientific wild ass guess.

I got tired of waiting for parts so went ahead and did what I could to finish the “Reprogramer”. Windows are being installed in house now so had limited area, but time to do it. Remember if there is a paper plate in the build, I didn’t build it. As note the original one had a red light, I could find one in time so used the green light rod.
The part I was waiting on came in, now she is done! So I redid the top section, cleaner. If you see anyone that made this “Reprogramer” they Really wanted one badly! Finding the correct parts and getting this together, the ring and the hinges was, lets say…. a Pain! But she is safely on the shelf now.
But if you have a floating, island home with a programmed flying trash bin. I guarantee this will reprogram it and go wherever I Kaylee tells it.

Wee bit of added trivia. The reprogrammer was a repurposed prop form the 2001 movie 'Impostor'. The same film used the Starship Troopers armor later used in Firefly.
