These bean cans cost $.99 at stores! (at least they were a year or so ago when I got mine). Plus, the one on the ebay auction is for Hot Bean Sauce. Tracey's was the regular Bean Sauce.

My father actually found these for me at a store where he lives. He doesn't remember the name of the store, but said he will look next week and pick up a bunch if they have them. If he can get them, I will offer them here for whoever wants one.

EDIT: the cans have gone up in price to $1.19.

Hey, I was going to bid on the eBay bean can and ration card.
Am I stepping on any toes?

We used to take this approach to auctions on the H. Beam Piper board.
Alert each other to obscure auctions and decide when to step aside and
when we were just willing to duke it out and let the most interested wallet win.

I'm not hugely desperate for this, but I am willing to pay the "finder's fee" of the auction
rather than hunting the darned things down myself.
I also like his ration card, and I'll be contacting him through eBay about buying a card
(if I can't get the bean can)
and having him sign it (in "character") so that it is properly credited.
I mostly build my own stuff, but I appreciate the work of others, too;
and there is a place in my collection for other fan-made items.

Yeah, the ration card is pretty neat! The can on the ebay auction, though, isn't accurate. It's the Hot Bean Sauce. Tracey had just the plain Bean Sauce.

I am able to get a hold of the accurate Bean Sauce cans. I will have several in my possession within the next week or two (hopefully next weekend) if anyone is interested. Once I get them, I will post in the marketplace.

If you're in Tampa/St Pete they have the beans at MD on Fowler.
May have been on the losin' side, still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Not to be contrary, but Tracey is using a P-51 can opener. It's the larger brother of the P-38. It has two grooves down the length of the can opener and the key ring hole is at the other end. You can make out the two grooves and the absence of the key ring hole as it is illuminated by several flashes from small arms fire.

I know. I need medication for this kind of detail hunting.
