I was exhausted, but very happy about the whole thing. :)

HAHAHA...yeah, the knife sheath with the wire "blade" to make it street legal is a great idea. No one sees the knife anyway since it sits in the sheath.

If you shoot Brian a PM I'm sure he could work something out with you.

Go-se nepotism and lack of organization really made the Daytona Beach CSTS awful. :x

Of the people entering the costume contest... all 3 were minors. All 3 minors were kids of Daytona Browncoat members. Now if there was a kid's category no problem. There really is no contest between someone who takes their time on costuming (ahem) and... 2 requisite "large" Kaylees, 1 "I has a goatee, tshirt and a cunning hat so I is Jayne" and 1 "I found a brownish coat at the thrift shop". But toss into the fray an infant dressed like the Fruity Oaty Bar Octopus, and the preteen sisters dressed as Kaylee (only because she had a parasol) and River (only because she had a black dress and cardboard axe and sword) and then allow the audience to judge? Yeah big trouble.

Otherwise, other than collecting money or tickets the only talking they did to non-members of their group was the announcing. Also, 75% of the raffle prizes (donated by their members) wound up back in the hands of... their members multiples to the same people as well.

I have to admit I probably would have voted for the octobaby myself.

So was it just the three in the contest? I mean I agree that if there is a costume contest there should be a kid's division and an adult division.
May have been on the losin' side, still not convinced it was the wrong one.
