Series Mule

Postby Bronson BB » Wed Jun 21, 2017 9:46 pm

So, I got to wondering if anyone had ever identified the original Mule. And having checked around online, I haven't found that anyone had so...
One the strength of the two photos linked below, and several annoying hours spiraling through the Google image wormhole, I have narrowed it down to possibly being the 2002 Polaris Magnum 500 RMK with winch and trailer hitch. It was originally green, but repainted by production to what I'm calling "Dirty school bus". and naturally, greeblies and some corrugated steel are disguising enough of the original ATV that we may never get closer than that.

Anyone else?

I identified it years ago as the Polaris 'Sportsman', so now I'm not so sure. I thought I posted that find here, but now I think that might have been on the defunct Propcircle site. I'll have to do a side by side comparison. It's great to see someone else hunt it down.

I thought it was a 'Sportsman' as well, but I've only seen images of the 'Magnum' where the body panel has the same notch out as shown in my linked closeup. The one just under the gun holster, allowing room for that plug dealy that comes out of the round Polaris labeled other dealy.
