36 Inch Firefly

Built by RShanko (banned from the RPF)
Kit was $250.
Got the kit fairly quickly, but I waited two years for the cockpit,
which, interestingly enough,
I received totally unexpectedly in the mail yesterday.
So, Ron and I are square at this point,
but, ya know....two...years...
Say no more.

I'm looking forward to building this.
It will never be the intricate thing of beauty that the Wolvster/QMx bird is,
but it only cost a fraction of the QMx Serenity's $2,495 price tag.
And, as you can tell by the 12oz. Mountain Dew can, it's a biggun'.

Wow! She is big, and being HO scale, you will have no problems getting crew together, and maybe some cows. :D

I hate you more than I ever hated you before, which is weird, 'cause I got along great before. But now...I have to hate you a little. It's petty jealousy of course, but I'm honing it to an edge.

thats really cool.

With HO people You could totally recreate the landing at Eavesdown docks on Persephone with the bay door down and the crew and passengers loading stuff on Serenity- The doc with his precious cargo and Kaylee with her umbrella, etc.

Can't wait to see what you do with it. :)

Oh Yeah!?
Well, my Firefly Fan Film is sitting dormant and you're directing an independent film,
so I'll see your hatred and raise you a little bit of loathing.
(It's only envy, after all.)
So there.

Once I get to trying to build this thing, I imagine most folks will turn to pity and relief.
(Relief that they aren't trying to build it.)
MAN! This is a LOT of work!

Yay! This thread dates from before I joined in October 2011, so I'm interested in seeing how it all turns out. :D

Mike went over budget and it sits at the Ship Yard, time for another heist, how about a Core Planet this time.
