With an upcoming parade for ComicCon in Salt Lake, we're going to be building on some medic uniforms, and I was looking at some various safari style vests as a possible option for medics, what with all the great pockets for medical supplies and tools. I like the Safari Vests for a few reasons. First, they're generally 100% cotton (apart from the webbing) and would take a brown dye well, leaving a nice brown and tan two tone look. Second, you can find many readily available on ebay.

The Woolrich has a tactical look and at least one place to sew a patch. Not too easy to find, but they do pop up on Amazon and Ebay

Humvee also make a nice one, but I can't figure out wear I'd put patches.

Thoughts?

It would take some extta work but with regard to patches on the Humvee, sew/iron the patches on the pocket flaps in such a way that the patches are like tabs on the flaps. visible and functional at once.

This is a photo from the Salt Lake Comic Con press conference this past Tuesday. As you can see, we all interpreted the theme slightly different, but with great variety.
