I was thinking I read somewhere (probably either firefly archives, here, or the RPF) that Tracy's coffin was a case for a canoe. However, the more I think about it, I'm pretty sure that was the ones they used in Ariel, so you may be righ about Tracy's coffin being an equipment case.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the "coffins" for the Ariel job were roof-top cargo carriers for cars. I see them frequently on vehicles where I live ... and I have to snicker as we drive by. Cuz, really, it's too funny.

The ones Simon and River were in were indeed cartop carriers. Least, that's what they looked the most like to me. Can't remember Tracy's off the top of my head. Oh well, off to watch the episode. :serenity1:
May have been on the losin' side, still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Yes indeedy, the Ariel Ambulance "body bags" are Thule cartop carriers.
I used to know the model and everything, but I forget now.
That info, and the exact model of HAZMAT container used for the Ariel Ambulance engines
is all buried on either the AARG website or YAHOO Group page; (I forget which.)
