Two new Serenity graphic novel projects announced!

Postby Justanuthercap » Fri Mar 12, 2010 4:05 pm

Announced earlier this week, Dark Horse will give readers back the sky in two new "Serenity" projects this year. The first, a one-shot written by actor and comedian Patton Oswalt, ships in June, while series creator Joss Whedon teams with "Terminator" scribe (and younger brother) Zack Whedon for an original hardcover graphic novel titled "Serenity: The Shepherd's Tale," due in November.

Full story is on comicbookresources.

Jayne: (mock reading Simon's journal) "Dear Diary...today I was pompous and my sister was crazy." (flips page) "Today, we were kidnapped by hill folk never to be seen again. It was the best day ever."

DITTO THAT!

I'm not a huge fan of the Serenity comics but I am really looking forward to this!

Shall we start a pool on when we think it's actually going to be released?

Sweet! Always excited about new comics. Wonder if there will be more one-shots collected into a trade, I hate loaning out individual issues (even though I have one "reader" copy of almost everything I buy.)

The Wash one-shot will be 3 individual stories supposedly. I just wish they would reprint the Serenity comic they did on their Myspace page, sort of like they did with Dark Times #0.

Anything to keep new material coming into the franchise is a good thing.
I look forward to it.

Kewl! :D

I'm especially psyched about "Shephard's Tale". I've been interested in learning more of his back story, and hopefully get some answers to his Alliance ties.
