Full burn burned more than the atmosphere :)

Funny thing I noticed while watching the episode for the gazillionest time. After they escape the Reavers by pulling the Crazy Ivan, Wash's control yoke disappears!

Here is is gripping the controls in preparation for the Crazy Ivan ...

... boom ... the yoke is gone and he is fondling the air

I noticed that too when watching it on Blu-Ray. Strange that I missed it during the three times I watched it on DVD!

They have a laugh about it in the commentary :)

They had to reframe to get the angle required. The fact he's steering air only shows if you have the widescreen version.

Another great one is also in the pilot show. When Mal,Zoe and Jayne go off to see Badger, Zoe and Wash have a small exchange and Wash takes of on the Mule. Because the shot was on the soundstage at Fox, they couldn't have the Mule's engine running, due to noise and fumes, etc.

Not only can you see the stagehand running away after pushing the Mule down the ramp, but when Wash drives away you can clearly see another stagehand pull the Mule out of frame by the front bumper.

Perhaps there should be a gaffs and bloopers section............

Damn! I've never noticed these things....

@ Kurtyboy: You've got the BluRay? Could you do screencaps from the bluRay-Version for reference-Pics? I know that's not the right thread for this, but.... would be great.... :D

A bloopers section is a great idea!

@Laubi: I got Firefly on Bluray and I bought a BR drive yesterday. I have to install it (and Windows) first though. (I'm a Mac guy  )

Do yourself a favor and watch the eps with commentary, esp if it has Tudyk, Whedon and/or Fillion in it. Good stuff.
May have been on the losin' side, still not convinced it was the wrong one.
