Jacket continuity

Postby orion » Fri Sep 26, 2014 7:58 am

In "Serenity" (the pilot episode), after Inara docks her shuttle with Serenity, Zoe goes from the galley to the cargo bay to let Mal know that everyone's aboard. The initial shot shows Zoe entering the stairwell without a jacket, but the following shot in the cargo bay shows Zoe suddenly wearing a jacket.

I only noticed that after a few re-watches, knowing that the upper and lower decks were on separate sets. :P

Perhaps that brief alcove hides a coat hanger!

Or an Adam West-style quick change pole.

Oh man! Great Catch!

I love that jacket, btw, and would love to have it.

Yeah I like that jacket too.It is seen in "Trash" & "Safe" among others
Is it some kind of liner jacket?
I have a mil surplus coat that has a zip in liner that looks very similar
Thoughts anyone?

Oops, sorry! I didn't realize it was a repost. I ought to look more thoroughly through the old topics next time. :)

If it's the same as her "armor" jacket, yeah, it's a liner from a military field jacket. I can't remember the exact model off the top of my head though... Possibly Jayne's Polizei jacket? Makes sense they would get all the mileage they could out of something.
May have been on the losin' side, still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Jayne's Polizei jacket has a very different lining. It's fur on the inside and a darker matte green on the outside.
