I got mine today, as well.
They are very nice; maybe not what was planned, but not disappointing at all.
Good for cap and shoulder both, I think.

Thanks,
Mike

I'm glad they've started to arrive.

With all the purple in the logo, are they meant to represent an Alliance affiliated ship?
Or are they "Innapenants" operating surreptitiously under the Alliance nose?

I only went with purple on this one, because I like it for the look of the patch. It did cross my mind at one point, but I figured Mal said it best.

"We're all just folk now."

I wanted to get past purple being only for the Alliance. The Timpanogos is a registered, legal vessel, so it is Alliance, but only in the sense that it's attached to company in the Verse post war as is everything really. People serving aboard the "Timp" (which is what most of them call it) come from both sides of the war. Most were Independent, but that's just coincidental to the Timp crew.

The fan film projects that involve the Timp and her crew are more about the Verse as it is now, and less about the stories that are often patterned after the show. They're meant to be contemporary to Firefly, but exploring other places and plots outisde of smuggling and running from the law.

And that's the kind of story I'm interested in. Original characters and other means of making a living than Mal and his crew. God bless'em, I love Mal and Co., but I want more than just them. There is literally a universe to discover out there. Let's see more stories about it.
