The Navigation patch is at the factory. We just passed through the usual time of year delay (what with the Chinese New Year) but it should be shipping to me soon and I'll get it sent out right away. Then on to the next patch.

Well...they turned up and they look terrible. Just awful. I sent an image to the art department and they called immediately to apologize, because even they were flummoxed by how badly they turned out. No need to fear. We're going to have them redone. It means a delay, but I'm NOT sending all of you long time supporters a bad patch. I'll let you know what happens next week.

The new proof was much better and the patches are being made as I type this. I should be shipping them soon.

That's great news! Thanks, YJ!

(although I confess I'm curious about how bad the first batch looked ... )

The first patch had a very wonky star at the top. It didn't have points, so much as rounded stumps like a starfish. The swoosh on the 'shooting star' started in a weird place and didn't fill the whole curve, so it just looked wrong. The stitching on the background was bad too, so that white substrate showed through the black. And...they were cut bad. There were other things, but that's the highlight.

The new one has a nice 3-dimensional look. Everything is clean and pronounced well.

Also...I have them in hand and I'm packaging them right now to go out first thing tomorrow.

The NC patch featured on Daniel Robert Smith's flight suit at the Serenity LRP in the UK.
