R.I.P Kip Hart

I thought this was an appropriate place to post this. I learned over on the RPF that Kip Hart, sculptor of the Big Damn Replica, the QMX Blackbird, and so many other amazing replicas and kits passed away in June at 51. I only casually knew Kip through his work with QMx and PM'ing with him on message boards. He was alway gracious and helpful and a really great guy.

Wow. That is really sad news. His work was amazing. I used to tune in every day on the Firefly Ship Works site just to pour over the progress photos.

Oh no. That's such a shame.

Godspeed, sir. You will be missed.

I saw one of the masters for the BDR in kit form YEARS ago at a prop show.
In a world with a limitless supply of Philistines, it is always a shame to lose such an artist.
