Threads regarding QMx and their line of licensed Firefly / Serenity stuff

QMx Corner

Postby Badger » Tue Feb 09, 2010 3:25 pm

I needed to start my new life with QMx by letting go of threads related to my private projects of the past. Badger the bootlegger is gone.

Say Hi to 'QMx Badger' :D

This little corner of the 'Verse if for discussion of projects relating to Quantum Mechanix productions of Firefly and Serenity props and replicas, printed items and kits.
Please feel free to chime in with stuff you'd like to see go into production. Every idea will be considered on it's own merits and no project is too large or too small (boy, am I going to regret saying that!).

We do listen.

Keep Flyin'

Well, the next thing on MY list is a Tracy Message Recorder with Tracy's message on it.
Or perhaps a re-recordable type dingus.

If I can record a message in a Birthday card, we aughta' be able to do this!

I, too, would love to see this one happen! I imagine it could be done at relatively low cost ($30-40 maybe?) and would likely be a popular item with all fans, not just us crazy, prop-addicted ones!

I've got one 'new in the box' and two boxless but otherwise untouched radios if it would help in getting the details right.

So does this mean we can talk about book's bible now?

Or do we have to stop talking about every prop replica?

Detailed discussion of the bible is only on hold until release of the new companion book in April. I know it's a pain, but non-disclosure agreements bind us in this instance.

As for a replica of the bible, I'm not even sure that would be something QMx could/would do. Badger?

KH is correct that we need to keep quiet about the Bible until the third Book's out. But that's just me and him. You guys can talk about it :D

It's possible to do a replica, sure.
The bible is a found item and there doesn't seem to be much point, unless it's the River distressed version.
But, honestly, anyone can distress their copy that way.

Also, it would be a hard sell to the company because of the limited market and high cost of printing a bible like this.

My advice would be to try and find the right model and customize it yourself.
