Threads regarding QMx and their line of licensed Firefly / Serenity stuff

So THAT'S what happened to the Firefly Cortex Online game.
I've already got the full interior model kit, so this is another QMx offering I don't need,
and most likely can't afford.

Ten years ago...

August 2, 2006
"Collegeville, PA – Quantum Mechanix, Inc (QMx), a new movie and TV property replica collectibles company, has been launched by a group of industry veterans and fans, including artists, designers, engineers and other industry professionals. The company will be offering its line of Sci-Fi movie and television prop replicas by late August.

QMx holds licenses with MGM, NBC/Universal, and Viacom/Paramount for such properties as Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Serenity, the new Battlestar Galactica series, and classic properties such as War of the Worlds, Conquest of Space, and many others. The company plans to debut the first release in its line of NASA and Soviet spacecraft models early next year. QMx also has licensing deals pending with several other studios. These licenses and products will be announced over the coming months.

QMx products will include replicas of props, weapons, vehicles, dioramas, plaques, jewelry, electronic toys, printed materials, and patches from the various properties. Some items are planned to be produced in both full-size and scaled versions.

QMx possesses a strong understanding of the collectibles market and produces extremely-high-quality collectibles at very fair retail pricing. Many of the company’s product offerings will retail in the $15 to $50 range, with higher-end items in the $300 to $500 range.. Several signature edition replicas are in development, and scheduled for release over the next year. The company has accounts in-place with retailers and distributors worldwide; with the list expanding rapidly."

I just bought their Kirk and Spock figures for a Trek display. The likenesses were spot on. The Milano ship they showed at Comic Con was beautiful but I'm guessing it'll be in the rang of several thousand.

I recently asked QMx if they have any Firefly replicas in the foreseeable future. They said, "No."

Shouldn't there be a lot of 3D printable versions out there?
I really like a good model kit, but I am not sure there will be one soon.

Here's a list of what I have seen as being 3d printed:
Mal's Gun
Jayne's Gun, Boo
Serenity
A Shuttle.
And too many castings to list here :)
Can anyone add to the list?

Does anyone know who has the skull and crossbones license plate from the Mule? That would be a great replica.
