The Model 47A

Just a note while we're at this stage.

I will be posting updates on a regular basis. It'll never be as regular as everyone would like, but it I'll only update when there's something to show or tell.

What I'm saying is that 47A Owners aren't going to be coddled on this project. Every effort is being made to get these made at the earliest opportunity, but not at the cost of quality. By now, everyone will be aware of my reputation for attention to detail and my desire to provide a good product.
There's an awful lot of work behind the scenes. Please also understand that I'm juggling these projects with a day job, just like you guys.

That having been said, I'm really excited about this project and I'm really looking forward to the first ones being completed.

With Frank's permission, when the time is appropriate, I'd like to start a 47A Owners Showoff Thread for lovely pics of your 47As nestling in your Firefly prop collections.

Hi all,
Just joined tonight. Been a long time member over at RPF, and Goodwolf referred me over here as this is the "hub" for info on the Model 47A.
I was on the interest list for quite a long time, but dropped off recently due to a question of funds. I've discussed it with "the boss" and it appears that I will indeed be able to afford one of these replicas.
My big question. . . are there still open slots?? I know there are only 47 being made. If so, I can Paypal the full amount at any time.

I was waiting to hear back from the foundry this week about projected finish dates for the components. They are running test pieces of the metalwork.

Are any 47As likely to be ready for shipping in 2 weeks from now? Possible, but not likely looking at it realistically.

I will give detailed updates as information surfaces.

At present We're trying to solve an issue with metal flow around the very thin trigger guard...
