It's a leather binder.

Badger's a leatherworker.

I'm just sayin'...
May have been on the losin' side, still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Dang.
And I just got some balsa for mine.

It is certainly a found item though, no doubt.

The light coloured sheets each side aren't wood, they're card covered in cream/beige silk. The silk has an open grained texture which is why it looks like wood to the camera.

Yeah good point LOL!

Badger, does it look like real leather or vinyl/faux leather?

Could be either real or fake, hard to tell without cutting it open......

NO!

It's a 'pebbled' finish which was popular a few years ago. It is certainly a found item, but too slim for an organiser. I think it may have been a diary or similar.

I can probably get the correct pebbled leather material from my suppliers.

Cheers,

Badger

Badger, if you decide to make replicas of these, I'd be all over one (as I mentioned in PM to you ;)). I spent a ton of time a couple years ago looking all over ebay, amazon, and the net in general for all manner of binders, planners, note pad holders, diaries, and so on, but never even found so much as a photo of one that looked similar. :(

At the risk of becoming tired of the sound of my own voice.

If the interest is there......

Very in!
I've got a mostly finished set of Companion papers made up already.
One binder and I'm done!
