Ladies and gentlemen...

I give you the Reaver-hit colony ship.

Maybe they give tours. :)

Awesome find, Dan!
That will make a nice addendum to the
"Filming Locations For Serenity & Firefly" booklet
described in another thread.

If a West Coast fan-film ever got a bigger budget
or the facility would donate for a charitable write-off,
a group could do a story on the same class of vessel as the settlers.

I found out from some wiki page somewhere that the same 'ship' was used in a Power Rangers series so I figured it had to be a permanent fixture somewhere.

So I started lookin' and a few hours later, I found it. :)

I wonder how many other shooting locations still exist.

Space Bazaar? Niska's office? Durtmunders innards?
Likely none of them, but who knows?

I actually looked at their prices, and while not something I can afford, they do not seem outrageous. A moderately budgeted fan film with non-paid actors could swing a 3 day shoot, 36 hrs, without too much out of pocket for the set.

Awesome find! Who would of thought that a standing set like this was used in Firefly. With TV budgets for Sci-Fi, it makes sense.

It would be cool if you could just hire it for an hour or two for a photoshoot, but I imagine that would be economically unfeasible for all parties.

That's a big prop, but it would still fit in my yard.
