Mal's welding goggles

Mal is seen wearing these for only the briefest of moments, and I apologize that this is not the best screen cap of the goggles, but they are Swiss Army goggles (Sometimes referred to as Swiss motorcycle goggles). I have seen them nowhere else in the series and they appear only for a moment when he cuts through the storage room door.



Here is an example of the goggles, which can be found at many army surplus stores.

I was working on an art project and just happened to look up just as Mal began to cut the door. I probably wouldn't have even noticed the goggles, but I just happen to own a pair. I like finding that I already own props I won't have to buy.

Strangely enough, there was no effort to replace the clear glass with darker welding lenses, which can be purchased just about anywhere.
